Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa converting to brand
The historic 170-key Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa in Dallas, Texas, will be rebranded as a Luxe Hotel in the second quarter of 2012. The company’s ceo Efrem Harkham says “the Stoneleigh’s combination of a great location, distinct style and historic charm is an exact fit with the authentic guest experiences we value.”
Originally constructed as apartments in the 1920s, the hotel recently underwent a $36 million renovation and was redesigned by Forrest Perkins. The hotel features large windows, luxury bed and bath linens, and Calcutta marble flooring in the bathrooms. Each junior suite offers soaring ceilings and antique fireplaces. In the hotel’s penthouse, amenities include a private 590-sq.-ft. rooftop terrace, a music room, a dining room and a library.
Luxe Hotels includes nearly 200 member hotels. According to Harkham, current hotel expansion considerations include New York, San Francisco, Miami, Chicago, London and Paris.
