Moschino's Surreal Hotel Suites

Moschino, the trendy Italian fashion retailer, is trying its hand at the hotel business. Slated to open this fall in a former railway station in Milan, the four-story Maison Moschino will have 54 guest rooms and 15 suites.
While the station's 1840s-era neoclassical façade will be restored, the building's interior will be completely redone "to reflect Moschino's distinctive style, where the ordinary world is painted with a brush of surrealism," says Rossella Jardini, the company's creative director. "The common thread connecting each guest room is a fairy tale theme, because to sleep is to dream, and dreams are the fairy tales that we experience first hand." Moschino's partner in the project is Hotelphilosophy SpA, Mobygest Group, of Rimini, Italy, while the property's owner is Milan-based Allianz Global Investors SGR SpA. Moschino officials were mum on whether any other hotels are planned.
