Jimmy Buffett-inspired locale to open in 2014
Work is slated to start early next year on South Florida’s first Margaritaville resort. Coral Hospitality is partnering with Margaritaville and The Lojeta Group to build, develop and manage the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Hollywood Beach, Fla.
The 350-room resort, slated to open in early 2014, will feature seven on-property restaurants, including a Margaritaville Cafe, four lounges, a full-service tropical spa and more than 20,000 square feet of meeting/event space. Other on-site amenities will include a beachside band shell, a wave-producing wave rider, several mega pools and slides.
The Margaritaville concept is inspired by the lyrics and laid-back lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett. Margaritaville complexes are already open in Key West, Fla., New Orleans, Orlando, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Panama City Beach, Glendale, Mohegan Sun Casino and Nashville, along with international locales in the Caribbean, Mexico, Panama and Canada. In addition, the first Margaritaville Casino is set to open in Las Vegas' Flamingo Resort this October.
