Marriott International Inc. has named Guilherme Cesari vice president of development for Brazil at the company's newly opened development office in Sao Paulo. Cesari was previously a partner at the Sao Paulo office HVS.
Wendy's/Arby's Group Inc. has hired Hala Moddelmog as president of its 3,700-unit Arby's group. Moddelmog's career includes nearly a decade as president of Church's Chicken.
Pinnacle Entertainment has hired Geno Iafrate as senior vice president and general manager of its L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort in Lake Charles, La.
MulvannyG2 Architecture has promoted Yisen Li to deputy general manager of its Shanghai office.
Barcelo Hotels & Resorts has appointed Magda Hanna as director of meeting and incentive sales for the West Coast of the U.S. and Canada.
Wedge Hotels Corp. has appointed Lisa Haynes corporate director of human resources.

Dolce Hotels and Resorts has opened the 255-unit, new-build Dolce Munich Unterschleissheim, its sixth European property and second in Germany.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has opened the Aloft Chapel Hill in North Carolina, the 40th member of that flag. Also involved in 130-key development are the Inland American Lodging Corp. and Alliance Hospitality Management LLC.
Carlson Hotels has opened two new members of its Park Inn chain, both in Texas – one in Houston and the other in Dallas
The Hampton Inn Indianapolis-NE/Castleton hotel has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of its 128 guest rooms.
BUSINESS BRIEFS:
Brown Jordan, a manufacturer of leisure furniture, has entered a partnership with home furnishings designer Richard Frinier. The designer, who worked with Brown Jordan for 22 years prior to forming his own creative consultancy in 2002, will release a new collection with the company during the fall markets.
