Co-branded hotel to be housed in new Osaka skyscraper
The hotel within a new, 60-story tower that’s being built in Osaka, Japan, will operate under a joint Marriott/Kintetsu flag. Kintetsu Hotel Systems Inc., the management arm of Miyako Hotels & Resorts, said it reached an agreement with Marriott International to flag the new hotel within the Abenobashi Terminal Tower Building Annex as the Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel.
The skyscraper holding the hotel will be the tallest in Japan when it opens in spring 2014. The 376-key hotel will occupy the tower’s 38th through 55th floors. “The new hotel identity carries both the Miyako and Marriott brand names, promising to deliver our guests supreme services refined in both our service cultures,” said Takashi Futamura, president of Kintetsu Hotel Systems.
