Thomas Baldwin replaced with 15-year company veteran

Morton's Restaurant Group Inc. announced that president and ceo Thomas Baldwin has left the company and been replaced by Christopher Artinian. The Chicago-based upscale steakhouse chain has reported falling revenues for the past several quarters, and has also been closing underperforming restaurants.

Artinian is a 15-year company veteran who most recently served as its vice president of eastern operations. “Chris Artinian has impressed us with his strong management skills throughout his career at the Company," said John Castle, chairman of the company's board of directors' executive committee. "We are confident Chris will continue to build the Morton's brand and lead the company to strong future performance."

The company currently operates 76 restaurants under the Morton's flag, as well as Trevi, a Las Vegas Italian restaurant.
