MSC Fantasia, the newest member of MSC Cruises fleet, has won the highest eco-friendly designation available from the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards program for design and operation. Designers for the 3950-passenger vessel, which enters service later this week, worked with QHSE assessor Bureau Veritas to achieve the "Six Golden Pearls" designation for its environmentally friendly waste-water treatment, air quality and solid-waste management systems. The ship's eco-conscious features will be incorporated into future MSC Cruises new-builds.
