New Orleans' health-conscious Naked Pizza is looking at launching a nationwide franchise program, and a cash infusion from Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks and the Landmark Theater chain (among other holdings), could help that along. According to The Times Picayune, restaurant owners Jeff Leach and Randy Crochet responded to Cuban's national solicitation for business investment ideas. Face-to-face discussions were held in New Orleans in March, the newspaper reports. Cuban was quoted in the article as saying he saw "an opportunity to make money" first by expanding the 560-sq.ft. shop and then looking at growth options "once that hurdle is passed." Leach and Crochet position their concept as "the first pre- and probiotic multi-grain delivery pizza in the world."
