Queen Elizabeth has its ‘float out’ ceremony
Cunard Line's newest ocean liner, the Queen Elizabeth, marked a major milestone in its construction with its recent “float out” ceremony at the Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard near Trieste, Italy. (That event marks the completion of the ship's exterior and its move from a dry dock to a wet dock, where work on its interior can be done.) The 2,092-passenger ship, the third Cunard vessel to bear the Queen Elizabeth name, is scheduled to enter service in October 2010.
