Giant rebrands as Hilton Worldwide
Hilton Hotels Corp. served notice on its “refreshed' strategies and vision with the decision to change its name to Hilton Worldwide. Along with the new moniker, the hotel giant also launched a new logo and website. However, company officials say all 10 of its brands will retain their current logos.
The move comes shortly after the 3,300-hotel strong chain shifted its headquarters from Beverly Hills, Calif. to McLean, Virginia. There are also new faces, including John Vanderslice, who was named global head of luxury and lifestyle brands earlier this week.
“This is an incredibly dynamic time in our company's history. On the heels of a successful move into our new global headquarters, we're excited to launch our corporate identity that better represents who we are today and our aspirations for the company going forward,” said Christopher J. Nassetta, president and ceo, Hilton Worldwide.
