The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, has unveiled design details for its new restaurant, which is slated to open next month. The Nob Hill hotel’s new eatery, dubbed Parallel 37 in honor of the geographic latitude running near the Bay Area, will feature chef Ron Siegel in its kitchen and an interior by EDG Interior Architecture + Design.

According to EDG’s project description, the restaurant’s design “directly links Northern California’s culinary countryside with the dynamic, neighborhood food culture and style of San Francisco. Clean architectural lines and modern, glass wall treatments combine with natural materials to create an informal sense of tailored sophistication.” The space will feature a glass entranceway from the lobby and a glowing glass graphic panel of California oaks behind the host’s station.

In addition, Parallel 37 will have an adjoining bar and lounge, a chef’s table adjacent to the kitchen and a semi-private room for small parties that’s tucked behind a plaid-etched, sliding glass wall.
