Lakeside Grill debuts in former Boulud locale
The Lakeside Grill has opened in the space formerly occupied by Daniel Boulud Brasserie in the Wynn Las Vegas. The new restaurant, situated on the resort's Lake of Dreams, is the second locale in the Wynn venue for executive chef David Walzog.
Wynn Resorts said Roger Thomas, the company's executive vice president of design, has updated the interiors to lend Lakeside Grill its own distinct character, while retaining design elements such as the 17th-century mosaic-tiled floor. The restaurant is outfitted in white materials such as Carrara marble, metals and leather for a bright, modern feel. The also design marries contemporary and antique elements—vibrant orange lacquer and white acrylic surfaces juxtaposed with neo-classical sculptures and 19th-century falling angels adorning the walls.
Walzog's other restaurant at the resort is the SW steakhouse.
