Avalon Panorama to launch in May 2011
Avalon Waterways says it will launch the river-cruise industry’s first “suite ship” next year. The Avalon Panorama, slated to debut in May 2011, will have 64 suites on its top two decks that will feature 200 sq. ft. of living space, floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies.
“The introduction of the Avalon Panorama underscores our dedication to energizing the small-ship cruise category,” said Patrick Clark, managing director of Avalon Waterways.
In addition to the suites, the Panorama will have 17 deluxe staterooms on its lower deck, a club, main lounge, dining room, an open-air bistro, a hair salon, a fitness center and a sky-deck pool.
