(June 2009) posted on Fri Jun 26, 2009 EDT

Royal Caribbean International (RCI) announced that its Oasis of the Seas will offer two dozen distinct dining experiences when it launches late this year. The venues will range from an exclusive signature restaurant to neighborhood-specific themed venues and new twists on the RCI's traditional eateries.

"Oasis of the Seas showcases the evolution of Royal Caribbean dining," said Adam Goldstein, RCI's president and ceo. "Both the new concepts and the established Royal Caribbean offerings found throughout the neighborhoods are designed to meet contemporary dining standards, cater to individual preferences and schedules and foster epicurean curiosity."

Some examples of the ship's offerings:

  • Its Central Park neighborhood will feature the ship's signature venue, 150 Central Park, which RCI says will combine "leading-edge cuisine with modern design, creating a trendy upscale ambiance," as well as four other restaurants.
  • The Pool and Sports Zone will offer the Solarium Bistro and The Wipe Out Café.
  • Its Opus Dining Room will have a three-level main dining room and will "revive the grandeur of the 1920s and feature French art deco design," RCI says.
