Norwegian Cruise Line's 2,376-passenger Norwegian Spirit is undergoing a multi-million dollar refurbishment. Upgrades include 11 new staterooms, new seating and chairs in the 700-seat Stardust Theater; 226,000 square feet of new carpet in public areas, stairwells, suites and staterooms; new wallpaper and curtains for the staterooms; and new tile in 300 bathrooms throughout the ship. In addition, the ship's Roman Spa & Fitness Center is getting new doors, panels and seats; and the onboard phone system is being replaced with a wireless system. Norwegian Spirit is scheduled to re-enter service at the end of November.
