Watermark Hotel converted to new hotel/spa flag
Omni Hotels & Resorts has rebranded the Watermark Hotel & Spa in San Antonio as the Mokara Hotel & Spa, the first of a new collection of luxury boutique properties. The property, on San Antonio's famed River Walk, houses a 17,000-square-foot spa and 99 guest rooms. Ostra, a seafood restaurant, will open at the complex later this fall.
“We are very pleased to launch Mokara, and there is no better place to start than San Antonio—home to one of our most acclaimed properties,” said Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels & Resorts. “Mokara will be built on the foundation created by our extraordinary associates. Our discerning business and leisure travelers are seeking this level of attention, and Mokara will deliver it.”
