Starwood Capital unit sells interest in Montparnasse locale
The former Le Méridien Montparnasse Hotel Paris has been sold and is now operating under Accor's Pullman brand. The 953-key property's existing freeholder, Unibail-Rodamco, acquired the leasehold interest from Starman, a joint venture company of Starwood Capital and Lehman Brothers. Starman was advised by HVS Hodges Ward Elliott in the deal, whose terms were not disclosed.
In the aftermath of the sale, Accor has taken over management of the four-star hotel, which is now called Pullman Paris Montparnasse. The 33-story hotel is the second largest in Paris.
