Park Plaza Hotels Ltd. has bought the 342-room Holiday Inn Amsterdam Schiphol for just under $40 million and converted the property to its Park Plaza flag. The company, in a joint venture with Elbit Imaging Ltd., acquired the three-year-old conference hotel near the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport from Melbourne Onroerende Zaken B.V.
“We are absolutely delighted that we have been able to add such an impressive conference hotel to our portfolio,” said Boris Ivesha, Park Plaza Hotels' ceo. “This is our third hotel in the Amsterdam area, with a fourth under development, and strengthens our position in the important Dutch market.”
