When the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles reopens this fall after a two-year renovation, it will feature a new signature restaurant operated by Wolfgang Puck. The Dorchester Collection, manager of the 103-key hotel, said it has signed an agreement with Puck and his restaurant group to oversee the property’s food and beverage operations, including its restaurant and bar, room service, catering and events and the garden terrace.

The restaurant is being designed by Rockwell Group and will be called Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, with a culinary concept focused on modern California cuisine with European and Mediterranean influences. Puck’s history with Hotel Bel-Air dates to the early 1980s, when he consulted on all of the hotel’s f & b operations.

“It is incredibly exciting to once again work with Hotel Bel-Air and to be part of its extraordinary restoration,” said Puck. “We look forward to evolving the cuisine and the service programs at this iconic property, while respecting the tradition and heritage of the hotel.”

In addition to redesigning the restaurant, Rockwell Group updated the Bel-Air’s bar, restaurant, terrace, grand ballroom and executive boardroom. Other updates at the hotel will include 12 new canyon-view rooms designed by Alexandra Champalimaud and a 12,000-sq.-ft., Spanish mission-style structure featuring a new bell tower, fitness studio, three loft guestrooms and a Spa by La Prairie, a luxury Swiss beauty company.
