OPENINGS/RENOVATIONS/BRAND NEWS
Rezidor Hotel Group will open the 135-key Radisson Blu Hotel Oslo Alna and the 208-key Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Alna in Norway. Slated to open in the third quarter of 2013, the new hotels will be located in adjacent towers, with shared facilities and management.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Inc. opened the 296-key Aloft Bangkok Sukhumvit 11, the Aloft brand’s first hotel in Thailand. The company also opened the 172-key Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa.
Marriott plans to open the 107-key Courtyard by Marriott Belgrade City Center in Serbia, under a management agreement with PFB Properties doo, in early 2014.
Carlson will reopen the 252-key Radisson Blu Resort Marina & Spa St. Martin in the Caribbean on Dec. 15. The property was closed in May to undergo a more than $10 million renovation.
The former Saint Louis Hotel will reopen as the 102-key Hotel Mazarin on Dec. 28, as part of the New Orleans Hotel Collection. The property, located in the French Quarter, is undergoing a multimillion dollar redesign.

The Hyatt Minneapolis is currently undergoing a multimillion dollar renovation. Jonathan Nehmer + Associates is overseeing the transformation of the hotel’s 533 guest rooms, lobby, restaurants, lounge and reception area, which will be completed by May 2012.
The Cheesecake Factory Inc. opened a 7,900-sq.-ft. restaurant at The Shops at La Cantera Mall in San Antonio.

FelCor Lodging Trust Inc. has sold the Holiday Inn Toronto Yorkdale to Easton Hotel Group for $22.7 million.
Danish furniture manufacturer Carl Hansen & Son A/S has acquired cabinet maker Rud Rasmussen A/S for an undisclosed price.
Lowe Enterprises Investors has acquired the 281-key Doubletree Bedford Glen Hotel in Massachusetts on behalf of a pension fund client for an undisclosed price.
Chesapeake Hospitality has transitioned management and opened the 190-key Doubletree by Hilton Raleigh Brownstone University hotel. The North Carolina hotel underwent a $4.6 million renovation.
