OPENINGS AND RENOVATIONS:
An Allegria Hotel & Spa will open in May in Long Beach, N.Y. The seven-story property will include 120 rooms, 30 suites, a spa and the Atlantica restaurant operated by chef Todd Jacobs.
The former Columbus Airport hotel in Columbus, Ga., has reopened as the Doubletree Hotel Columbus. The renovated 176-room hotel is operated by Pezold Management under a franchise agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corp. and managed by Valley Hospitality Services LLC.
Hilton Hotels & Resorts has opened the renovated Hilton Stockton in Stockton, Calif. The 198-room hotel is operated by Stockton Hospitality LP, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pacifica Host Hotels, under a franchise license agreement with Hilton.
The Allison, a luxury inn and spa slated to open in August 2009 in Newberg, Ore., has been accepted as a member of Preferred Boutique Hotels. The property, in Oregon's wine country, will feature 85 guest rooms and suites, along with a 15,000-square-foot spa.
MANAGEMENT CHANGES:
Jolie Quest Hotels and Resorts has hired Jayne Betts as its director of revenue management.
Martin Professional, an automated lighting company based in Aarhus, Denmark, has hired Morten Ørnstrand-Søborg as business area manager-clubs and bars.
