Marriott all-suite hotel to be located in 1920s-era building
Winegardner & Hammons Inc. (WHI) plans to open the first Marriott-branded hotel in Cincinnati's central business district in April 2011. The extended-stay Residence Inn Cincinnati Downtown will feature 134 one- and two-bedroom suites in the Phelps Building, an 84-year-old converted apartment tower.
“The Downtown Residence Inn will find a balance between the history and old-world splendor of a building in the city of Cincinnati and the modern styling of a first-class hotel,” said David Meissner, the locale's newly named general manager.
The locale is owned by Western Southern Financial Group and Eagle Realty, and will be managed by WHI.
