Goodyear, Ariz., is enjoying a restaurant boom, with three eateries opening in recent months and three more on the horizon, The Arizona Republic reports. The town, which is located on Phoenix's west side and has about 50,000 residents, has seen openings of an Olive Garden, a P.F. Chang's China Bistro and an Ah-So Sushi & Steak in recent months. On tap: a Red Lobster, a Majerle's Sports Grill and Goodyear Brewing Co.
Goodyear economic development Director Harry Paxton described the area as an "underserved market." The town has "some very nice sit-down restaurants, but obviously we need more," he told the newspaper.
