After investing $8.5 million to convert the Boathouse in Central Park into a full-service restaurant, Long Island restaurateur Dean Poll is looking to take over another famous New York eatery, the Tavern on the Green. Nation's Restaurant News reports Poll is among those jostling to bid on the 800-seat restaurant, which will become available when its lease expires at the end of this year.
