The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced plans to build three new Park Inn hotels during the next two years. A 204-room property will open at the end of this year in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, followed in mid 2010 by a 100-room hotel in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and a 250-room property in Dnepropetrovsk, the Ukraine, in mid 2011.
"Park Inn is our fastest growing brand. We started in January 2003 only - our pipeline today features more than 125 hotels with almost 23,000 rooms in operation and under development," said Kurt Ritter, Rezidor's president and ceo. "Especially emerging markets like the Middle East and Russia/CIS offer a huge potential for this young and dynamic brand; but I'm also delighted to add a Park Inn to our Swiss portfolio."
In addition to Park Inn, the Rezidor Hotel Group's portfolio includes hotels operating under the brands Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts, Regent Hotels & Resorts, Park Inn and Country Inns & Suites in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
