Four-Star Radisson Hotel Zavidovo to open in 2014

The Rezidor Hotel Group is continuing to build its presence in Russia, with the planned addition of the Radisson Hotel Zavidovo. That 230-rooms property is scheduled to open in 2014 in a resort area about 60 miles northwest of Moscow.
“Radisson is Europe's largest upscale hotel brand,” noted Kurt Ritter, Rezidor's president and ceo. “I am delighted that this hotel allows us to further grow our contemporary and exciting portfolio on the emerging Russian market.”
The new Radisson will also house two restaurants, a bar, a destination spa, conference facilities and a yacht club. It is being developed by ProfEstate, a Russian company that also created a master-planned community in the area.
“Zavidovo is an established resort and conference destination nearby Moscow with a lot of tourists, activities, special events, and yet a shortage of quality accommodation and services,” says Sergey Bachin, ProfEstate's president. “Being the first four-star hotel in the area, the Radisson Hotel Zavidovo will fill this gap and add a new momentum to the local development.”
The Rezidor Hotel Group currently has over 60 hotels with a total of more than 14,500 rooms in operation and under development across Russia and its surrounding region.
