Austrian luxury hotel to debut in mid-2012
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. LLC said it will open its first Vienna, Austria. The 202-key hotel, slated to open in the second quarter of next year, will be located in two 19th century palaces that are listed as culturally protected properties in Austria.
The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, is owned by an investor represented by Verny Capital, which earlier this year acquired The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow.
“We are honored to have been selected by Verny Capital to assume management of this incredible hotel,” said Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co., a 77-unit subsidiary of Marriott International. “We have viewed many sites in Vienna over the years and believe this location will offer our sophisticated travelers an exciting new place to explore and enjoy.
