Rocco Forte Collection knows that it takes a lot of upkeep to prevent its luxury brand from becoming tired. That's why the company is renovating its current properties-including Rome's Hotel de Russie, which has already had its terrace, top two floors and Wellness Zone refurbished-and investing capital in new construction. "Hotel de Russie is now eight years old, so we are in the process of slowly refurbishing the bedrooms to keep them in peak condition," says Rocco Forte Collection design director Olga Polizzi. "Similarly, we are redoing the bathrooms at The Balmoral, have recently touched up The Lowry Hotel and decreased the overall keys to create new suites in Hotel Amigo and Hotel Astoria. The suites have been individually decorated in a contemporary, luxurious style appropriate to their location. For example, the 10 ambassador suites at Hotel Astoria are decorated with Kandinsky-esque paintings, while the Magritte suite, the new presidential space at Hotel Amigo, has apples and pairs and Magritte prints lining the walls."
Hotels slated to open soon include Verdura Golf & Spa Resort, Sicily (2009); Marrakech (2010); Abu Dhabi (2010); and Jeddah (2010).
