Saffire, a new luxury boutique hotel in Australia, has opened its doors. The 20-suite property, which also features a spa, a restaurant and a lounge/bar, is located on Tasmania's east coast, near Freycinet.
“This project is one of great significance for our company, and is the culmination of years of market research and careful planning,” said Greg Farrell, Tasmania managing director for the destination's developers. “We wanted to ensure we built a development that was sympathetic to this beautiful area and its environs, yet still offers guests the most unforgettable experiences in accommodation, food and wine, activities and most of all, Saffire Service.”
Serving as architect for the complex was the Tasmanian firm of Morris Nunn and Associates, while the interiors were designed by Chhada Siembieda Australia. The property features a roof made of curved wood beams that references the nearby sand dunes and waves. The suites are outfitted in stone and timber, and feature a base color palette of soft-gray, taupe, green and blue, offset by orange accents.
