Las Vegas Sands Corp. president and chief operating officer William Weidner has left the company, and will be replaced on April 1 by Michael Leven, a five-year veteran of the resort developer's board. Sands announced those moves in a news release that offered no reason for Weidner's departure. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, his exit capped "months of mostly behind-the-scenes feuding ... between Weidner and company chairman and ceo Sheldon Adelson over the company's falling fortunes."
