Hilton Worldwide has promoted Conrad Wangeman to area vice president, operations-Northeast, responsible for its managed properties in the Northeastern U.S. and Canada.

Red Lion Hotels Corp. has hired Harry Sladich as its executive vice president - sales and marketing. Sladich was previously president and ceo of the Spokane Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Montage Hotels & Resorts has promoted Ali Kasikci to vice president of strategic planning & development.

OPENINGS/RENOVATIONS/BRAND NEWS

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has signed an agreement with MKC-RosEvroDevelopment LLC to manage a 220-room hotel in Rostov, Russia. The Hyatt Regency Rostov–Don Plaza, which is slated to open in 2011, will be the second member of that flag in Russia, joining the Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg, which debuted last year.

California Pizza Kitchen Inc. has opened its second location in the Middle East, in Dubai's Mirdif City Centre shopping mall. The 5000-square-foot restaurant, opened by CPK franchise partner Gourmet Gulf Co. can seat about 185 people.

A new five-story building at the Emory Conference Center Hotel in Atlanta has achieved silver LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The tower houses 127 guest rooms, 6,000 square feet of additional meeting space, a six-lane bowling alley and a parking garage.

The 100-room Holiday Inn Express I-95 in Boynton Beach, Fla., has completed a $2.5 million renovation.

Moz Designs, a fabricator of metal laminates for architectural and interior installations, has launched a photo competition to recognize the creative use of its decorative materials. The “Inspired by Móz 2010” competition is open to all industry professionals, including architects, interior designers, contractors and projects managers, who have completed Móz projects in the U.S. and abroad between January 2008 and April 2010.
