Hotel to be based in a Nation Towers skyscraper

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has nabbed a high-profile hotel site in the Arabian Gulf. The second St. Regis in Abu Dhabi will be housed within the Nation Towers, a high-rise, mixed-use development consisting of two linked skyscrapers on the city's waterfront.
The hotel will be located on the upper floors of one of the tower's skyscrapers, and will feature 281 luxury guest rooms (including 56 suites), along with several signature restaurants, a destination bar, sky bridge restaurant, meeting/event space a health club that includes an outdoor swimming pool. Guests will also have access to an adjoining beach club that will be operated by Starwood.
“The announcement of our second St. Regis in Abu Dhabi is another sign of Starwood's commitment to developing all nine of its brands in key Middle Eastern destinations,” said Roeland Vos, president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Europe, Africa and Middle East.
The hotel will be owned by International Capital Trading (ICT). The Nation Towers complex is still being built, and Starwood did not disclose a specific timetable for opening the new St. Regis.
