Upscale hotel chain opens 449-room property in Guilin

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has opened a 449-room luxury hotel in Guilin, southeast China. The property, on the banks of the Li River, features 17 suites, ranging in size from 900 square feet to 2,300 square feet, and guest rooms starting at 450 square feet.

The property also houses the Horizon Club guest rooms and lounge; a grand ballroom capable of hosting up to 2,000 people; and several dining options, including the Shang Palace Chinese restaurant and the Li Café.

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts owns and/or manages 66 hotels under the deluxe Shangri-La and mid-market Traders brands, and has more than 40 projects under development in Austria, Canada, mainland China, France, India, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Qatar, Seychelles, the U.K. and the U.S.
