207-key hotel to open in Baku
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Silk Way Airlines LLC to open the 207-key Sheraton Baku Airport Hotel in Azerbaijan this fall. The hotel will feature 207 guest rooms, including 14 suites, and dining, conference and leisure facilities.
“Reaching out to new frontiers is a focus of our expansion strategy, so we are delighted to partner with Silk Way Airlines as we debut the first Starwood hotel in Azerbaijan,” says Roeland Vos, president, Europe, Africa, and Middle East for Starwood.
Starwood currently operates 72 hotels in East Central Europe, including three hotels in Moscow and two in Georgia. Starwood plans to open more than 60 Sheraton hotels around the world in the next three years.
