Retreat at resort in Georgia undergoes $1.5 million makeover
The Château Élan Winery & Resort has completed a $1.5 million renovation to the Spa at Château Élan, including upgrades to its 35 treatment rooms, relaxation areas and customized couples' rooms. The spa update is the final phase of an $11 million upgrade at the Braselton, Ga., resort that also included makeovers of all guest rooms and bathrooms, the 25,000 sq. ft. conference center and the L'Auberge and Versailles restaurants.
The Spa at Château Élan is a 35,000 sq. ft., full-service European-style spa based in a lakeside mansion. In updating that facility, Design Directions International of Marietta, Ga., created a contemporary atmosphere for sophisticated relaxation, incorporating a rich color palette of watery blues and peaceful greens with tranquil glass mosaics and bronzed metals.
Designers also added couples' experience treatment rooms, featuring massage tables, Jacuzzi tubs and lavish showers, and created new relaxation areas featuring soft lighting, new carpeting and plush couches. The spa also includes 14 themed overnight guest suites and its own restaurant, Fleur de Lis.
Located about 40 miles north of Atlanta, Château Élan Winery & Resort is a 16th century-style French château, Four Diamond leisure and conference destination that sits on 3,500 acres.
