Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has opened its first St. Regis property in Latin America. The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, a joint venture between Starwood and Ideurban Consultores, is in Bahía de Banderas in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico. The 120-room resort features three restaurants, three infinity pools, a fitness center, private beach club, tennis courts and a RemèdeSpa with nine treatment rooms, a sauna and steam bath area. Design elements incorporated into the property include custom European furnishings, marble bathrooms and handmade artwork by local artists.
