Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has opened of The St. Regis Mexico City. The property features 189 guest rooms and suites, a Remède Spa, and three signature restaurants. It is owned by Grupo 1818 and was designed Yabu Pushelberg and architect Cesar Pelli.
"The opening of The St. Regis Mexico City not only launches our most exclusive brand in Mexico City, but also reaffirms our deep commitment to the country with which we have both a long history, as well as strong future growth plans," said Osvaldo Librizzi, president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Latin America.
The building's façade, created by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, features floor-to-ceiling glass panes, while the interiors by Yabu Pushelberg use bold colors and Mexican-inspired design elements.
