Las Vegas Sands Corp. is teaming with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. to develop St. Regis branded residences at the Venetian Palazzo in Las Vegas. Construction of the 398 private luxury spaces, between Las Vegas Sands' Palazzo and Venetian resorts, is already is under way. Sands chairman and ceo Sheldon Adelson said he is confident the project will find buyers, despite Sin City's recent struggles with sluggish growth. Slated to open in March 2010, the St. Regis Residences will offer owners the option of purchasing fully furnished residences with custom-designed furniture packages, and will range in size from 1,700 square feet to more than 10,000 square feet for a duplex villa with private pool.
