Openings slated for Dubai and Sharjah
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has signed agreements to open two new hotels in the United Arab Emirates: a Four Points by Sheraton in Sharjah and a new Sheraton hotel in Dubai.
The 220-room Four Points by Sheraton Sharjah Hotel will be owned by Dr. Hassan Ahmad Ibrahim Al Marzouqi and will open in 2013 in a mixed-use office, residential, retail and hotel development adjacent to that city’s Central Souk area.
The 660-room Dubai Sheraton, whose local partner is Abdulsalam Alrafi Group LLC, will open in 2014 as part of a three-tower mixed-use project in that city’s commercial district.
