Trio of hotels sport decor created by SCAD

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is opening three more Staybridge Suites hotels featuring interiors designed by students at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). The new extended-stay hotels—in Tyler, Texas; Stone Oak, Texas; and Liverpool, N.Y.—feature the student-created Vista design scheme, which focuses on fresh colors, organic patterns and subtle textures.

The three new hotels join the first locale to open with the new, eco-friendly SCAD designs, the Staybridge Suites Houston Stafford-Sugar Land, which opened in December 2010. “The SCAD students provided outstanding insight for us, not only through their design expertise, but also because they represent the next generation of business travelers,” said Robert Radomski, vice president, Global Brand Management, Extended-Stay Brands, IHG. “Our owners started signing up for the new designs as soon as they were available, which reflects the high level of interest and excitement the new schemes have created.”
