Steiner Leisure Ltd. announced that its Mandara Spa Asia Ltd. subsidiary is launching a new brand, the Chavana Spa. The Balinese-themed spas will target 4-star hotels and resorts, allowing guests to enjoy “a quality spa experience at a reasonable price,” the company said in a news release. The first two Chavanas will open next month at the Marriott Resort in Mirbat Beach on the Salalah Coast, Oman, and the Four Points by Sheraton Navi Mumbai, India.
In other company news, Steiner announced that as of December 14, it will no longer operate the Eau Spa at the Ritz-Carlton in Palm Beach, Fla., which it has operated under a lease agreement. "We have appreciated the opportunity to serve guests of the Eau Spa and anticipate a smooth and mutually satisfactory transition from our operations at this location,” Steiner president and ceo Leonard Fluxman said in a news release.
