Breakfast-lunch chain plans 40 restaurants in Canada
Sunny Street Café has signed a 40-store development agreement for western Canada, the breakfast-lunch chain chain's first growth initiative outside of the U.S. The first location is set to open in later this year in the Edmonton, Alb., area under the management of area developer and franchisee Percy Johnson, who plans to open a minimum of 40 locations over the next 10 years.
“Sunny Street Cafe has tremendous growth potential in Canada," said president Scott Moffitt, whose company currently operates 14 franchised locations in Ohio, Texas, Kansas and Missouri. “The Canadian breakfast and lunch segment is evolving quickly, and we see a tremendous opportunity to capture a significant portion of the niche.”
