Horizon Casino Hotel to undergo renovations
Tangent Gaming LLC has the acquired the Horizon Casino Hotel in Vicksburg, Miss., from Tropicana Entertainment Inc. for an undisclosed price. The casino resort, a 297 foot-long, 36,000 square foot riverboat with multi-level gaming on its first three levels, is set to reopen in May following extensive renovations.
“Tangent Gaming has been financing gaming facilities, equipment and operators in the United States and Mexico since 2005. We are currently reviewing a number of deals and anticipate continuing to expand our size and reach in the industry,” said Steven Haynes, a partner at New York-based Tangent Gaming.
Tangent’s partner in the deal is Great Southern Investment Group, which will own and operate the riverboat’s hotel and food-service venues.
