Casual-dining chain extends pact with Kuwait partner
T.G.I. Friday's says it will open 30 additional restaurants over the next five years in the Middle East in partnership with its Kuwait-based franchisee, the Americana Group. Plans for the new restaurants stem from the renewal of a development agreement between the two companies that has already resulted in the opening of 36 T.G.I. Friday's units in the region.
“A core component of T.G.I. Friday's overall growth strategy is identifying the right partners who can help us reach our goals,” said Ian Saunders, president and chief operating officer of T.G.I. Friday's International. "We have established a tremendous relationship with Americana, and this new development agreement emphasizes the strength of our partnership.”
