The Trump Organization hired Serena Rakhlin as vice president of strategic planning and hotel business development for its Trump Hotel Collection. Earlier in her career, Rakhlin worked for Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Hotel management company Richfield Hospitality hired Mobashir “Moby” Ahmed as senior vice president of operations. Ahmed was formerly executive vice president of Ambient Hotel Group.
White Lodging hired Ken Stone as regional director of sales and marketing. Stone previously held the same title at IHG.
Tapestry Resorts hired Debbie Jaloma as director of business development. Jaloma also serves as a consultant and director of business development at Preston Arza, a law firm specializing in hospitality.
F. Schumacher & Co., a design house and marketer of luxury textiles and decorative interior products, hired Terri Eagle as president and ceo. Eagle formerly held positions at L'Oreal USA and Revlon.
OPENINGS/RENOVATIONS/BRAND NEWS
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide rebranded the 276-key Albuquerque Grand Airport in New Mexico as the Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel following renovations. Starwood also opened the 268-key Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15, in Thailand and the 160-key Le Méridien Taipei in Taiwan.
Carlson opened the 105-key Radisson Petra La Dehesa Hotel in Santiago, Chile.
Steve Wynn and Michael Morton opened the La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway inside Wynn Las Vegas.
HEI Hotels & Resorts completed renovations of public spaces at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany, N.J. The next phase of the $20 million renovation will focus on the hotel's 353 guest rooms.
Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and hotel development and management companyLodgeWorks opened the 178-room Hyatt Place Pittsburgh- North Shore in Pennsylvania.
California Pizza Kitchen has opened its first company-owned and operated location in Shanghai. The company has also opened its first international office in China to assist its franchise partners.
Red Lion Hotels' franchise development team signed a franchise license agreement with a hotelier in Concord, Calif. to convert the 189-key Holiday Inn Concord to the Red Lion Hotel Concord.
Johnny Rockets American restaurant opened a location aboard Royal Caribbean International's Allure of the Seas cruise ship.
RockResorts International, a subsidiary of Vail Resorts, added the 398-key Half Moon in Rose Hall, Jamaica, to its luxury resort collection.

THG USA, an importer of luxury bath products, launched a contract division. The company's design department works with contract designers to select a style, function and materials for each project.
TRI-KES, a commercial interior finishes company, expanded its distribution of Versa Wallcovering for LSI throughout the West, including northern Idaho, Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
Radisson Blu's 276-key Dubai Deira Creek Hotel was awarded Green Globe Certification.
