Halcyon, Patron Capital buy seven-member collection
Halcyon Hotels and Resorts has teamed with Patron Capital to acquire the seven-member Luxury Family Hotels collection in England from the Von Essen Group for $52.6 million. Four of the hotels involved with the deal were owned until 2005 by Nigel Chapman, Halcyon’s ceo.
“I am confident that our in-depth knowledge of the properties, coupled with strategic focus and active management, will enable us to revitalize them and bring them back to their former glory,” said Chapman.
The Luxury Family Hotels portfolio, which is located mainly in southern England, includes:
•Woolley Grange at Woolley Green, Wiltshire (26 keys)
•Moonfleet Manor at Fleet, Dorset (36 keys)
•Fowey Hall at Fowey, Cornwall (36 keys)
•The Elms at Abberley, Worcester (23 keys)
•New Park Manor at New Forest, Hampshire (24 keys)
•The Ickworth at Horringer, Suffolk (39 keys)
•ThornburyCastle, Bristol (27 keys)
