McDonald's Corp. has opened Viva McDonald's, a new, 184-seat flagship on the Las Vegas Strip. In keeping with its glitzy environs, the 8,600-square-foot restaurant's exterior features an oversized, neon-lit marquee and four jumbo display screens. Inside, the décor is more "happy place" than Happy Meal, with faux-leather easy chairs, saucer chairs, pendant lighting, textured walls and a large, oval community table crowned by a ring of 18 video screens. The company-owned restaurant replaces a 25-year-old unit that was located nearby.
