Hilton Hotels Corp. has announced plans for a Waldorf=Astoria Hotel and Residences in Philadelphia. The 58-story, 175-room hotel is slated for completion in 2012. It will feature interiors by Frank Nicholson Inc., while Cope Linder Architects is creating the exterior and Re:Vision Architects will help the building attain the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The development will also include 136 residences, a 14,000-square-foot spa, an indoor pool, conference center, two cocktail lounges, two restaurants and a seasonal outdoor restaurant and cocktail terrace.
