Chinese hotel to feature in-house museum
The soon-to-open Westin Xian in central China will feature 300 guestrooms and 29 suites housed within a four-building complex that’s clustered around an outdoor garden with a sunken water feature. The Starwood Hotels & Resorts' locale, designed by Shanghai-based Neri & Hu Design Research Office, will also be home to an on-site cultural museum detailing Xian’s important role in China’s history. The city, which dates back more than 3,000 years, is one of the country’s four ancient capitals.
