The Allison, a new inn, spa, restaurant and conference center, will open in 2009 in Oregon's Willamette Valley wine country. Seattle-based design firm GGLO is designing the 85-room country estate-style inn in Newberg, Ore. The Springbrook Properties Inc. development, which will include a 15,000 square foot spa, will incorporate a variety of eco-friendly features and will seek certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. The property will feature limestone floors; a variety of Northwest woods, including black walnut, white oak and Douglas fir; floor-to-ceiling windows; handmade rugs; and an indoor waterfall.
